Simplifying...
Life has been getting in the way of my creative endeavors! I made the decision to delete my "Creative Itch Boutique" store on ecrater. It wasn't an easy decision, but one I had to make. I've got to simplify my life a little bit. My hubby is out of town all week and I've got too much going on to be able to devote the time needed to build a business. I will be keeping this blog for now and will try and post ideas for cute craft ideas regularly. Thanks for visiting!!

A Fun, Cheap Gift Idea!
I'm changing up this blog a little bit. Instead of featuring only items that are for sale in my store, I'm now going to also post ideas for easy, cheap, and cute crafts. With my ever growing list of things I want to do, I figure the best way to keep track is to post about them!
This is a cute gift idea for any age. I've made them for birthdays, Christmas gifts, and Teacher gifts. I stocked up on these notebooks in September when they were on clearance at Target. I got packs of 5 notebooks for .10 cents. Yep, that comes to .02 cents a notebook!

To decorate them, all you need is decorative scrapbook paper(DSP) and mod podge. First, cut the DSP the same size as the notebook cover. Spread a thin layer of mod podge on the notebook cover and also on back of the DSP. Put the paper on the notebook cover and smooth out any bubbles. At this point, I'll usually put the notebook under something heavy to help it dry flat. When it's dry, sand the edges of the cover and then spread a thin layer of mod podge on top of the DSP (this seals the paper and gives it a nice finish). That's it! You can personalize it any way you want. I've used stickers to put a child's name on them, which is always a hit! You can also put ribbon along the spiral rings to hide the edge of the scrapbook paper. The options are limitless!

Cute Card...
My creative mother-in-law, Sydney, has sent me some cute items to sell at my ecrater store. I got these cards this past weekend, and Oh My Gosh!! They are the most adorable things ever!
Check out all the details in this card! She uses quite a few different techniques such as stamping, watercolor, and sewing. And she always makes the envelopes match her cards.
This is the inside of the card. It reads "Simple pleasures are life's greatest treasures".
It has a pull out tab that could hold cash, a check, or even a gift card. Isn't that clever?!
This is what the tab looks like once it's out and open. The money doesn't come with it....it's used in the picture to give you an idea of how it works!!
These cost $4.50 each, and that's mighty cheap for all the time she put into each one!! If you're interested in purchasing one, head on over to my ecrater store!!
Thanks for looking!
