A Few More Mustache Cards...

I found some cute plaid paper (at my local grocery store of all places!), and had to make a few more mustache cards to share!

The first one is another folded Top Note Die card.  You can see others I've made HERE and HERE.

I also made a version without the folded Top Note Die.  Still fun!

Have a great weekend!

Hershey's Kisses Valentine's Heart

As soon as I saw THIS TUTORIAL from Qbee's Quest, I dropped everything and made myself a Hershey's Kisses Valentine Heart!

Here's how mine turned out...

They look like they'd be really complicated to make, but they're NOT!!  Such a fun idea for Valentine's Day!

'Way To Go' Card

I decided at the last minute to participate in the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge #12.  I don't participate in card challenges very often (okay, I don't know if I ever have!), but I do like to use sketches for card inspiration.

So here's my interpretation of the sketch...

You might recognize the paper I used on this card!  It's one of my favorite combinations at the moment.  Another card I made with these papers can be found HERE.

What a fun sketch!!  Who knows, maybe I'll get brave and try my hand at other sketch challenges too!

2013 YW Notebooks

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before that I'm a note taker.  Especially at church!  I find that if I write down what I've learned, it's easier for me to remember.  And I love that I can make special notes to myself on how I can apply principles being taught.

This year we decided to purchase notebooks for the Young Women in our ward to take notes in during our lessons.  The new Youth Curriculum is AWESOME, and they are learning about valuable topics that apply to THEM each week.

On Tuesday, we finally got around to letting them personalize their notebooks.  We provided them with some scrapbook paper that has the Young Women values printed on it, and let them decide how they wanted to decorate their notebooks.

This is one I did as an example to give them ideas on how they could use the paper.

Another one made by me.

And here's a few of the notebooks that the girls made.  They turned out so cute!

The notebooks are kept in the Young Women's room (we don't let the girls take them home during the week).  We also have some fun colored gel pens for them to use, as well as some clear tape so they can tape any handouts they are given in their notebooks.  So far, they have been a HUGE success!!  It's so neat seeing the girls write down their thoughts each week!  Hopefully at the end of the year, their notebooks will be FULL of notes and insights that they learned during their lessons!
