12 Days of Christmas & Sew Cute Tuesday {11.23.10}

Happy Tuesday!  I hope you don't mind, but I've decided to reveal {Day 11} of my 12 Days of Christmas instead of featuring projects from last week's Sew Cute Tuesday.  I've been having a blast sharing some of the gift ideas that I've found in blogland....I hope you're enjoying them too!

{Day 11: Holiday Clips}

I found the idea for this cute gift HERE from Blue Cricket Design!

I ended up making my own box to put the clips in....

Measurements for box:

Bottom:  Cut cardstock to 6" x 8-1/2".  Score @1" on all 4 sides.  Assemble.
Lid:  Cut cardstock to 5-3/4" x 8-1/4".  Score @7/8" on all 4 sides.  Assemble and decorate as desired.

A tutorial for the paper bow can be found HERE from Splitcoast Stampers.

Now let's get on with Sew Cute Tuesday!!

12 Days of Christmas {Day 10}

{Day 10: Countdown Blocks}

These have been on my 'To Do List' for over a year now...can I tell you how much I LOVE them?!

You can find the tutorial for these countdown blocks HERE from Little Birdie Secrets!

**FYI...I used 4x4's for my blocks, and a 2x4 for the base.**

12 Days of Christmas {Day 9}

{Day 9: NOEL Blocks}

I made these at our 'Super Saturday', so there's no tutorial for me to link to.  All I did was paint some cut 2x4's, Mod Podged scrapbook paper on them, then after it all dried, placed my vinyl lettering on each piece.  So cute!!

12 Days of Christmas {Day 7}

{Day 7: Fabric Covered Notebooks}

I can't begin to tell you how much I ADORE these!!  I'm a note taker (and a list maker!), so something like this would make a perfect gift for someone like me (yes...one of these will be under the tree for me this year!).  They would also be great as Gratitude Journals, or journals in general!

Take a  closer look....

12 Days of Christmas {Day 5}

{Day 5: Tic Tac Holders}

These are perfect for stocking stuffers!!  You can find a video tutorial HERE from Chic 'n Scratch!

**In the video, she uses the large packets of Tic Tacs.  I used the small ones, and here's the measurements I came up with for those:

Cut paper 4-1/4" x 2-3/4".  Score along the long side at 1-13/16" & 2-7/16".

12 Days of Christmas {Day 4}

{Day 4: Counting Bean Bags}

I made these for my 2 youngest kiddos.  I know they're going to LOVE them!

Here's the 'girl version' for my 5 year old:

And the 'boy version' for my 3 year old:

All stacked up...

The tutorial for these can be found HERE from Chez Beeper Bebe!

12 Days of Christmas {Day 3}

{Day 3: Skinny Notepad}

If you're anything like me, you function much better when you've got a "To Do List" to refer to.  I seem to get a lot more done when I've got a list, and get a feeling of satisfaction when I can look at it at the end of the day and see what I've actually accomplished.  So I made a Christmas version to give as gifts, and to use myself!!

Here's what the inside looks like...

Tie with a coordinating ribbon, stick a pen in (make sure it's cuter than the one I used {wink}), and it's ready to go!

You can find a video tutorial for making these skinny notepads HERE from Kerry's Paper Crafting Blog!

**FYI:  I'll be taking the weekend off to spend time with my family.  Join me on Monday for {Day 4} of my 12 Days of Christmas!!**
