Confession time.  

I didn't get around to making my kids' teachers Back to School gifts this year.  

Hiss....Boo!  

I'm disappointed in myself over not getting anything made, 

but figure we can make up for it later.

Since I was such a slacker this year, 

I thought it would be fun to take a stroll down memory lane

End of the Year Teacher Gift

It's hard to believe that the school year is nearly over!  

My kids have had GREAT teachers this year, and we wanted 

to give them each a little something to say thank you for being so wonderful.

We ended up going with THIS IDEA from Kiki & Company

via I Heart Naptime.  Adorable, right?!

Our Summer Break officially begins on Friday!!  Can't wait!

From the Desk of...{Teacher Gift}

My kids started school last week, and I wanted to make their teachers something special to start the year off right.  One of my favorite things to give as a gift lately is a 'From the Desk of...' gift set (template available for purchase HERE).  They're so versatile, and you can really customize them however you want. 

Here's what I ended up making for their teachers...

Included in the set were these cute printable 'Just a little note' cards (click HERE for free printable), & envelopes.

...a Post It Note holder (tutorial found HERE)...

...and a covered notepad (tutorial found HERE) ...

A bar of chocolate was also included, but didn't get a picture of that. 

I made a total of 3 sets, and the kids' teachers loved them!

As I was trying to decide what to get my kids' teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week, I remembered THIS PIN.

I was short on time, and these were the perfect gift to make.  They come together really quickly, and turn out so dang cute!

I also made some for the girls' soccer coaches.  Love how they turned out!

Back to School Teacher Backpacks

My kids were excited to meet their new teachers and see their classrooms during 'Back to School Night'.  We couldn't show up empty handed, so each teacher got one of these cute backpacks filled with treats.

The backpacks were filled with a Post-It Note holder and some candy.

The teachers LOVED their gifts!

Pinwheel Backpack

One of my favorite blogs to stalk visit is Inking Idaho.  Becky always has THE CUTEST ideas for cards and paper crafting!  She has tutorials for sale on her side bar, and the newest one offered is a Birthday Backpack Tutorial.   I just HAD to have it!!

Here's my first attempt:

Isn't it the cutest thing ever?!  My kids' teachers will each be getting one of these filled with some yummy treats on the first day of school.  I haven't got them finished quite yet, but will share them when I do!

More Teacher Appreciation...

For the last couple of years, the PTA at my kids' school does something fun for the teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week. Each day, the kids are asked to bring different supplies to their teachers to help them get restocked for the rest of the year, and hopefully a headstart on supplies for next year.

Wednesday is Hand Sanitizer/Tissue day. I used scrapbook paper and Mod Podge (my new best friend!) to create some custom hand sanitizer bottles for each of my kids' teachers.

I had a hard time deciding between using apples and the first letter of their last names, and decided it would be more personal if I used the letters. I'm happy with how they turned out, and my kids can't wait until Wednesday so they can give them to their teachers!

Teacher Appreciation Post It Holders...

I finally got around to making these Post It holders for my kids' teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week. I LOVE how they turned out! My 9-year-old insisted on helping out, and was surprised at how easy they are to make.

I am really into matching gifts and cards lately, so I had to make some cards to go with them.

Some lucky teachers are going to get some cute cards and Post It holders next week! I hope they love them as much I do!
