Flower Bows

For some reason, making bows is at the top of my 'Things I'm Obsessed With' list again.  My obsessions seem to go in cycles.  One month I'm totally obsessed with one thing, only to leave it by the wayside the next month for something else.  Sound familiar?  I hope I'm not the only one like this!!

Here's what I've been making lately....Layered Flower Bows.

This blue flower bow is my absolute favorite...

I used THIS TUTORIAL from Ten Cow Chick as a guide for my bows (she has some GREAT hair bow tutorials!).  To make the smaller flower in the middle, I followed Mariesa's instructions for the large flower, but cut my ribbon at 5".

These are absolutely darling! I love the pretty flower shape.

When we had our last baby, one of my friends gave me such a great gift for her. She made a bunch of baby-sized ribbon bows, in all different colors and shapes. She had colors for several holidays and some that would go perfectly with traditional baby girl outfits. She attached a small circle of velcro on the back of each bow. Then, she made a few headbands with velcro on them, as well. That way, I could interchange the headbands with different bows. It was the best. baby. gift. EVER!

You are not alone in the obsessed with one craft for a while then set it aside for something else a month later.
I am the same way, sometimes I go through a bow making is a chore, to bow making is the funnest thing on the planet. I think your bows are absolutely adorable, look very well made and I love your color choices.
