Pixie Stix Valentines...

So I thought I was being totally original with this idea....until I walked down the Valentine candy aisle at the grocery store and saw some Pixie Stix Valentine kits.....

Oh well! We'll call mine the 'homemade version'!! (Plus, they're WAY cheaper to make yourself!)

Let's compare prices, shall we?

**Pixie Stix Valentine Kit- $3.59 (at my grocery store). Makes 32 valentines.

**My Homemade Version- $1.25 (you can buy Pixie Stix for $1.00 at the dollar store. Didn't know that until after I bought mine at the grocery store. And I used paper that I already had at home). Makes 49 valentines.

I think I'll stick with my homemade version!

On a side note...My 10-year-old daughter has been helping me put these together, and she looked over at me the other night as we were busy glueing and inking edges and said, "This is really fun....and relaxing!" My thoughts EXACTLY! I think I may have gained a crafting partner {Woo Hoo}!!

they are lovely, and hey, dont even worry about the fact that you seen some that were just like what you created. Always remember you made yours with love, theres ...likely not so much. The joys of a mass merchant perhaps. I prefer small businesses any day of the week. And really, if we dont support each other on growth, then who will.:):)

these are so cool and inexpensive. Of course, I don't have the supplies, but I have paper and maybe I'll grab some heart stickers!
