Not so functional, huh?! Every morning I'd get so frustrated trying to find what I needed! I finally decided since I'm too cheap to buy a makeup bag, I may as well try and make one.
So I made a quick sketch of what I wanted it to look like....
.....then dug into my juice pouch stash, and went to work.
It turned out mostly how I had envisioned. I didn't end up using elastic on the inside like I had on the sketch. It would have looked too messy on the outside. And I was all out of white thread, so had to go with red. I'm not a huge fan of how it looks with the red thread, but that's the way it goes sometimes.
I couldn't get completely away from the ziploc bags either! I went ahead and grouped my makeup into 3 smaller bags so it's easier to find what I'm looking for. No more digging through everything to find those darn tweezers!!
It all fits nicely into my new makeup bag! Yay!!
We recently went on a weekend trip to visit family, and it was so nice having this makeup bag! Everything was all in one place and it was so much easier to pack! And since juice pouches are so durable, I plan on having this one around for a long time!

hello gorgeous xxx
p.s. I have a sale on my blog x
Great job! I love that it is recycled!
I love this! Mine is made of duct tape and cardboard. I taped with cardboard together in the shape I want and then just covered it in duct tape. The straps are made from some old rope I found in the garage. Home made bags are the best! Everything fits juuuuuuust right
Who would have thought to do this?...such a creative idea.. and sturdy too!
I need this....

You are definitely not the only one~!!! Mine is very similar along with half my other bags! I love the caprisun bags I've seen. Cute and creative. Thanks for linking up at Whatever Goes Wednesday at somedaycrafts.blogspot.com
I love this idea. Mine may not be in ziploc bags, but it is in the little drawers that you get to organize. It still seams like a bottomless pit.
Very cute! And I actually like the RED Thread. I have never tried to sew a juice pouch, is there a special needle for the machine? Sorry I am handmade qualified, not sewing machine qualified. LOL Sewing machines sometimes dislike me. Thanks for you help.
And Thanks for linking up at Trendy Treehouse. Come back Friday and Monday for more Blog Hop fun!!

Tara,
Nope...no special needle needed for sewing juice pouch bags. But the needles do get dull faster!!
This is too cute! Thank you for posting this. My daughter has wanted a bag like this.

Very cute! I have been saving some plastic woven feed sacks (I have chickens) in hopes of making a shopping tote - thanks for the inspiration!
