Bunny Bows

It's been a while since I've made bows for my girls' hair, so I figured I'd get on the ball and make some fun Bunny Bows for spring.

If you want to make some of your own, there's a great TUTORIAL at Ten Cow Chick. 

**FYI:  I wanted smaller bows, so I tweaked the measurements a little bit.  I cut the ribbon for the ears at 3.5", and for the body at 3", 4", & 5".  My bows ended up being approximately 3.5" long when finished.

Super Simple & CUTE Cards!

I'm always on the lookout for FAST, CUTE card ideas.  As I was browsing around blogland, I came across THIS IDEA from Nichole Heady, where she used stamped address labels on her cards.  Super simple, and SUPER cute!!  I don't own many stamps, so I took that idea and designed some labels on my computer. 

Here's a few of the cards I've made using this awesome idea.  These first 3 have the same label, but I used different paper on each one.

The next two are birthday cards with some fun owls...

And finally, I made a few 'Congratulations' cards...

What I love about this concept is that I can use the same label, but change up the paper on my cards to make them all a little different.  The possibilities are really endless!!

Sew Cute Tuesday {3.22.11}

One thing I absolutely LOVE about "Sew Cute Tuesday" is finding new (to me) blogs.  It's always fun when I click on a link and it's from a blog that I haven't visited before.  Inspiration is ABUNDANT in blogland, that's FOR SURE!

Rainbow Cupcakes

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!  My husband went to work today with a dozen of these rainbow cupcakes to share with his co-workers.  I asked him if they would think I was a nerd for making them a treat, but he just smiled.  In my experience, guys don't care what it is, as long as it's edible.  So I think we're good! 

I absolutely LOVE the girls at eighteen25!  Their subway art is THE BEST!!

The idea for these cupcakes came from THIS POST from The Fickle Pickle.

I also made THESE FAVORS for my kids, their teachers, and my husband, but forgot to get a picture of them.

Candy Wrapper Button Earrings

We've been saving our candy wrappers to make more bracelets like THESE.  As I was sorting our collection, I was thinking about how I could make matching earrings.  And then the idea came.  I wasn't sure if it would work, or if they would even be cute, but I must say that I LOVE the result!

Cute, right?  I used a 5/8" covered button kit for these...

and these...

And a 7/16" covered button kit for these...

Here they are together so you can see the difference in size.

Did I mention how much I love these?  I don't know what it is about recycling, but I love taking 'trash' and turning it into cute, wearable items.  What do you think?

FYI:  For some reason, the 7/16" size was harder to make than the bigger size.  I ended up having to hot glue the bottom on because it wouldn't stay otherwise.  Also, to protect the wrappers, I brushed each earring with a few coats of Mod Podge.

Birthday Cards

Homemade birthday cards are a MUST at our house.  Here's a few that I've made recently.

I don't know why it took me so long, but I finally invested in a 'Homemade Just For You' stamp for the back of my cards.  LOVE IT!!

Paper Crafts Linky Party!

Something you may or may not know about me is that I LOVE paper crafting.  LOVE IT!!  But I have a little problem....I'm in a paper crafting RUT!!  I'm itching to make something, but need some inspiration.
