Burlap Wreath

Have you ever hit a wall while in the middle of a project? That's what happened to me while making my burlap wreath. I got as far as wrapping the wreath form in strips of burlap, then didn't know where to go from there. I let it sit for a day, hoping that some inspiration would come.

And it did!! Lucky for me, Joy from Mommas Kindacrafty linked her Spring Burlap Flower Wreath in last week's "Sew Cute Tuesday", and it was just what I needed to finish mine.
I'm thrilled with how it turned out! Now I just need to buy a wreath hanger so I can hang it up on my door!!

Burlap Family Reminder...

When I saw THIS post from Kaysi at Keeping It Simple, I knew it was something that my family could use. All too often by the end of the day, I've forgotten what we have and haven't done.

A few weeks ago I came across a great deal at the DI....a garbage bag full of burlap for only $2.00! I tend to hold on to things for a while before actually doing something with it, but decided this was a perfect project for my burlap.

I love how it turned out...minus the crooked "Family" (it'll bug me everytime I look at it!). Now that I've used some burlap, I'm excited to do other projects with it!!

What to do....

I picked up this piece of burlap at my local DI yesterday for.....get this......25 cents!! It's a pretty good sized piece (it measures 16.5" x 37"). Now I have to decide what to do with it....decisions, decisions!
