Quick Happy Birthday Card

The last 2 months have been a whirlwind.

My husband and I closed on our very first home on December 1st.

Then began the overwhelming task of packing, unpacking,
and figuring out where to put everything.

We're still working on it,
but are finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Most of the boxes are unpacked,

and our house is starting to feel like our HOME.

The very last room to get tackled has been my craft room.

After getting most of the room put together,

I had to take a break and make a few cards.

Because that IS what you do in a craft room ;)

I went with one of my favorite layouts

and used some retired SU! paper to make some birthday cards

(I 'm already behind on sending these out for 2015).  

Here's my cards...

I just LOVE it!

There's still some organizing to do in my craft room

(and throughout the whole house),

but I'm super excited to actually have a craft room!

I'm sure I'll be spending lots of time in there :)

'Thank You' Card

A group of ladies in my area had a 'Christmas in July' craft day,

and invited me to come up with some cards for one of the projects.

(Yes, the craft day was in July.  I'm dreadfully late in posting about it).

Yesterday I shared the first of 4 cards that we made

Today I'm sharing another one.

Card #2: Owl Thank You

This card was another pretty simple one to put together,

but sure looks cute when it's done!

Do you ever get in a crafting rut?

I think that's where I'm at now.

It's been really hard for me to craft lately.  

Even with my crochet.  

I start a project and it takes me a lot longer than it should to finish it.

I'm blaming it on winter blues.

The weather has been beautiful these last few weeks, 

so I'm hoping that my crafting mojo will come back in full force soon!

I was able to sit down and make this fun card a few days ago.  

It felt good to actually get something done!  

What about you?  How do you get your craft mojo back?

Another Camera Card

Card making has taken a back seat to my new obsession lately, 

but as soon as I saw THIS  camera gift card holder, 

I had to put my crochet tools down and try making my own.

 I made mine as a 4.25" x 5.5" card instead of a gift card holder...

The bright colors have me itching for Spring!

Yep, you guessed it!  

The card I'm sharing today features my favorite new tool 

at the moment...the Owl Punch from Stampin' Up!.

This one was inspired by THIS CARD.   

I love the layout....so much in fact, 

that it's on the short list of ideas for my 2014 birthday cards.  

I'll share those when I decide what I'm going to do ;)

'Celebrate the Season' Card

One item that I've had on my wish list for a very long time is the SU! Owl Punch.  

A few weeks ago I was finally able to purchase it, and I absolutely adore it!  

What I love the most is how versatile it is.  You can make so much more than just owls with it.

I've been in a penguin mood lately :)

File Folder Card {my first one!}
