' For Peeps' Sake' Treat Box

If you're still looking for treat ideas for Easter,
here's a fun one :)

I used the Tiny Treat Boxes from Stampin' Up!'s Occasions Catalog,
and created a little insert for the Cadbury Caramel Egg.

I think the Bow Builder Punch is going to be my newest 'favorite' tool!

Here's a tutorial for the box insert:
1. Cut cardstock to 2-15/16" x 2-15/16"
2. Score at 1/2" on all four sides
3. Punch out a 1-1/4" circle out of the middle
4. Cut up to score lines on all 4 sides, fold, and assemble

Hopefully that makes sense!

Have a fabulous day!

Supplies Used (all are from Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted):
Stamps: For Peeps' Sake
Ink: Calypso Coral, Hello Honey
Paper: Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Best Year Ever DSP (Sale-a-bration)
Other: Tiny Treat Boxes, Word Window Punch, Bow Builder Punch, 1-1/2" Circle Punch (non Su!), Scalloped Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch

Valentine Treat Boxes (sharing a little late)

I know Valentine's Day is over....,
but I still wanted to share some cute treat boxes
I made for a Valentine's exchange.

Stampin' Up!'s Envelope Punch Board was used to make the boxes.
I don't use that tool nearly enough!

Each box was filled with chocolate candy hearts like the ones in the picture.
Nothing beats getting a yummy treat packaged in a cute little box!

Here's what the back of the box looks like.
I wish I would've put some decorative paper inside.

And here's a close up of one of the boxes.
Pretty cute!

The idea for the treat boxes came from HERE.

Happy Friday!
Hope you have a fabulous weekend :)

Supplies Used (all are from Stampin' Up unless otherwise noted):
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red, Stacked With Love DSP Stack
Ink: Real Red
Stamps: You Plus Me
Other: 1-3/4" Circle Punch, 2" Scalloped Circle Punch (non SU!), Owl Punch (heart), Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Envelope Punch Board

Christmas Gift Box

No, I haven't completely fallen off the face of the earth ;)

I had every intention of doing my annual 12 Days of Christmas this year.
Things just got too busy, and I never got around to it.
I hope you'll forgive me!

Boxes are something that I love to make.
Whenever I see a tutorial for a new one, especially if it's super cute,
I always end up making at least one.

This little box measures approximately 4.5" x 2" x 1.5".
It's the perfect size for a small bottle of lotion, a few tubes of chapstick, candy, etc.

The bow on top was made using the new

Isn't it too cute?!

Want to make your own?
The box tutorial can be found HERE,
and HERE is a great video on making the little bow.

Have a fabulous weekend!

2013 Young Women in Excellence {Stand in Holy Places}

I've been busy the last couple of weeks planning and preparing
for our Young Women in Excellence
(this is a program in my church for young women ages 12-18 to celebrate
what they've accomplished in the Personal Progress program throughout the year).

Our theme was "Stand in Holy Places".

Here's a rundown of few of the things we did.

I bought THIS IMAGE of a high heel shoe made from the 8 Young Women Values.
We used it for our invitations, in our programs, and made cupcake toppers with it.
Shoe Clipart, Young Women Values Digital Design PNG Format Immediate Download
Here's our invitations (I loved THIS INVITATION so much that I patterned ours after it!).

I didn't get any pictures of our cupcakes with the toppers (darn!),
but here's a few other pictures from that night.

'Stand Ye in Holy Places' printable can be found HERE.

Value printables can be found HERE.

Our gift to the girls was these cute paper high heels filled with Hershey's Kisses.
They were a hit!! (and a LOT of work!)
We also gave them each a temple recommend holder
that says "Stand Ye in Holy Places"

A close up of the cute shoes...

The printable pattern for these shoes can be found HERE.

We've got a wonderful group of girls in our ward!
It was fun to be able to have a night to celebrate them
and all the wonderful things they are doing!

Card Folders

We recently held a community bazaar in my little town,
and everyone was asked to donate a few things to be sold there.

I decided to make some of these cute Card Folders as part of my donation.

They open up to hold cards and envelopes.
I think I put 4 cards and 4 envelopes in mine, but there was room for more.

Here's the card that I made for this card folder.

Card Folder #2....

And the cards that went inside...

These little card folders would be a fun gift idea!

Would you like to make a few?  You can find the instructions HERE.

Paper Purses

Do you know any ladies that are really into purses?
I have always been a simple girl, and have never seen
a need to own more than one very plain purse at a time.

Until recently.

I've discovered that having a cute purse adds a little bounce
to my step, and am always on the lookout for another fun one
to add to my meager collection.

I knew I had to make a few...

These tiny purses would be a perfect gift bag for lotions, nail polish, or even some treats!

Yep.  I think I'm addicted!

Upcycled Soda Box Pencil Cases

I've got a daughter who is a pencil/crayon/marker/pen hoarder.

Seriously. (can't imagine where she gets that from :)

I thought that if I made her a fun case for her pencils, maybe she'll use them.  We shall see.

These cute pencil cases were made using a 12-pack Fanta soda box.
Turned out adorable!

And this one was from a 20-can Diet Coke box.

Each of my kids have requested one now,
so I guess we'd better find some more soda boxes!

These would also make cute back to school teacher gifts!

You can make your own by using THIS TEMPLATE.

If you don't want to use soda boxes,
you could also upcycle some cereal boxes, like THESE.

**a little tip** the pencils that I bought were too long for my cases.
This could be solved simply by lengthening the box as you assemble it,
or just sharpen your pencils before putting in your case.

Box of Chocolates {Valentine's Treat}

My kids will be giving their teachers
a little box of chocolates for Valentine's Day this year.

Each box is filled with Hershey's Kisses
dressed up with THESE kisses stickers.

The clear top boxes were made

Here's a close-up shot of the 'Be Mine' tag....
I love how it turned out!

These little boxes come together really quick,
so if you're still looking for gift ideas for Valentine's Day,
you've got plenty of time to make a few of these cuties!

Have a great day!

Snowman Tealight

**I'm posting this a little late!!
The holiday season was busy at our house,
and I never got around to sharing this project**

As soon as I saw THIS POST from Becky Roberts,
I just had to make a snowman tealight.
Then she came up with a cute BOX TUTORIAL
a few days later, and I had to make that too!
Here's how mine turned out:

As usual, I didn't have all of the supplies that Becky used,
so I had to make do with what I had on hand.
Since I didn't have any pearls in my stash
for the eyes and mouth, I ended up using
black cardstock and a very small circle punch.

I also didn't have any sweater trim for the scarf,
so I used some red ribbon.

This is such an adorable gift idea!!
If my girls and I decide to have a booth
at our town's holiday craft fair again this year,
we'll definitely be making these!

{Hot Cocoa Gift Set}

**This year's '12 Days of Christmas' features the items that my daughters and I made for our very first craft fair**

Day 6: {Hot Cocoa Gift Set}

Inside the cups are 2 packs of hot cocoa and some Andes Peppermint Crunch Mints {love those!}.

I made these as gifts last Christmas, and everyone who received one loved it.  I thought they'd go over well at the craft fair, but was WRONG!!  Lots of people commented on how cute they were, and what a great gift idea they'd be, but we only sold ONE

They were priced at $5.00 each, and I thought that was fair given the amount of time that went into making each one.  Maybe everyone else thought it was too much?  I'm not too worried about it though, because now I've got 11 gifts that I don't have to make for Christmas!

The tutorial for these can be found HERE

From the Desk of...{Teacher Gift}

My kids started school last week, and I wanted to make their teachers something special to start the year off right.  One of my favorite things to give as a gift lately is a 'From the Desk of...' gift set (template available for purchase HERE).  They're so versatile, and you can really customize them however you want.

Here's what I ended up making for their teachers...

Included in the set were these cute printable 'Just a little note' cards (click HERE for free printable), & envelopes.

...a Post It Note holder (tutorial found HERE)...

...and a covered notepad (tutorial found HERE) ...

A bar of chocolate was also included, but didn't get a picture of that.

I made a total of 3 sets, and the kids' teachers loved them!

If you'd like to see other 'From the Desk of' gift sets I've made, click HERE, and HERE.
